The best strollers on Amazon in 2026

The right stroller depends on your life more than on any feature list: a city parent who takes the subway needs something different from a family with a big SUV and gravel paths. But the best strollers share a few things — they work from birth one way or another, fold without a fight, and keep being useful once your baby becomes a toddler.

We rank every stroller by our editor score, which weighs value most, then weight and fold, ride, baby comfort and safety. Use the fit finder to check any pick against your baby's age, car seat, trunk and budget.

How to choose

From birth

Newborns should ride flat: in a bassinet, a seat that reclines flat, or a clicked-in infant car seat. Check which one a stroller uses and whether it's included.

Weight and fold

Under 18 lb is easy to lift; over 25 lb starts to feel heavy every day. A one-hand fold matters when you're holding a baby.

Wheels

Small plastic wheels are fine for malls and airports. Rubber or air-filled wheels and suspension make sidewalks, grass and gravel much smoother.

Car seat fit

Most strollers take their own brand's infant seats directly. Other brands usually need an adapter, sold separately.

Growing room

Check the child weight limit (40–75 lb here) and seat height; tall toddlers outgrow small seats first.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of stroller do I need for a newborn?

One a newborn can lie flat in: a bassinet stroller, a stroller with a flat recline, or a travel system where the infant car seat clicks onto the frame.

Is a travel system worth it?

For most first-time parents, yes: you get a matched infant car seat, base and stroller, and the baby can move from car to stroller without unbuckling. You'll use the car seat for roughly the first year.

How long will we use a stroller?

Most families use a stroller until about age 3–4. Many end up with two: a full-size stroller and a light travel stroller.
